Coos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center

A chiropractor is a person who practices chiropractic alternative medicine, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system. Rick White is a Doctor of Chiropractic, and he’s the owner of the newly-opened Coos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center, located at 1611 Virginia Street, Suite 117, in North Bend.

I spoke to Rick about his new clinic and what it has to offer. “We run on a five point plan combining chiropractic and wellness elements of nutrition, exercise, rest and a person’s mental/emotional states; hence the name Coos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center. Chiropractic is at the top of the list, and I truly believe it’s the most important thing that people can do to improve their overall health. If your spine is not in proper alignment your nervous system is not functioning at full capacity and everything in your body will be affected; your ability to absorb nutrients, exercise effectively, rest, think, it’s all diminished.”  Rick, who opened this clinic in September of 2015, graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in biology, minoring in chemistry. He then went on to the University of Western States in Portland, finishing with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. “I practiced in Eugene for 14 years and had two different clinics that I operated. I retired for a brief span, moved to Coos Bay, and then opened this clinic. I guess I just got tired of being retired!”

Coos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center is located in the Pony Village Mall, 1611 Virginia Ave. in North Bend.

Rick continued, “One of the things that I specialize in are auto injuries. I did a great deal of advanced training and probably saw more motor vehicle patients than anyone else in Eugene during that time.  Here I have geared my facility toward that type of patient, and wellness patients. We have some of the most advanced tools and equipment available in the industry today, as well as a therapy room and exercise room.  We use therapeutic lasers, which are vastly superior to what you’ll find at most clinics anywhere. I had a fellow with restless legs syndrome who had tried everything: drugs, exercises, you name it. He got better after four sessions at our clinic.  Many people with arthritis, neuropathy, joint and muscle pain are looking for an alternative to drugs for their pain, and these lasers often get simply amazing results.”

I asked Rick why he decided to advertise his clinic in the South Coast Shopper. “I really haven’t done any advertising since we opened and I wanted to get the word out. In my experience, the Shopper is the best way to do that,” he replied.

So if you’re looking for some pain relief, or just want to lead a healthier lifestyle, give Coos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center a call at 541-808-9285. They’re open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm.

“This is an amazing community and I love it here, we have had such a warm and friendly reception from everybody in town” said Rick. “There are so many wonderful people here, and we’re doing our very best to take exceptionally good care of each and every patient, each and every visit.”  For more information you can check them out on the web at http://www.coosbaychiropractic.com.
