The Sears store in Pony Village Mall, located at 1611 Virginia Avenue, #514, in North Bend, has a new owner!  Marshal Fronckowiak took over as of January 25 of this year and he’s been a busy man ever since.

“I first got involved with Sears 19 years ago,” Marshal explained. “That was in Klamath Falls, and I wound up managing that store for eight years before moving to Brookings-Harbor.  I eventually purchased that store, so now I actually have two Sears stores on the Oregon Coast.”

Marshal Fronckowiak, new owner of Sears.

Most days you’ll find Marshal himself at his North Bend Sears store.  “I’m there quite a bit, overseeing the day to day operations,” Marshall continued. “I am responsible for merchandising, advertising, customer relations and satisfaction…I try to get into the store every day and see what I can do. I have 10 great employees led by my new manager Sandy Jansen.”

Marshal and his family still live in Brookings, which means he’s on the road a lot. “I have a beautiful wife and four children ranging from ten to 16 years,” said Marshal. “I’ve been coaching youth athletics in Brookings for nine years, and currently take my youngest to play basketball in Medford.  I’m really family-oriented and that’s the most important thing in my life, with community next.”

The Pony Village Sears offers appliances, lawn and garden items like tractors, mowers, weed-eaters, generators, hand and power tools, toolboxes and cabinets, a large selection of mattresses by Sealy Posturepedic and Stearns and Foster, exercise equipment like ellipticals, treadmills, and recombinant bikes, barbeques and patio furniture.

But if you purchase an appliance from Sears in Pony Village, how do you get it serviced? “Right now you have to call 1-800-formyhome and get service scheduled, but I’m in the midst of bringing in-store service and technicians right here,” said Marshal. “We have a full service department in my Brookings store, and I foresee getting that here within the next 90 days.”

Marshal said that Sears is now offering a new lease opportunity for its customers.  “If for some reason someone has a hardship or no credit, they can now come in and get the new products they want at an affordable price,” he said.  “We have a new program called ‘why not lease it’, and people can come in, fill out an application, and get up to $3,000 in new merchandise after they make a down payment.  We have very affordable monthly payments and there’s never a credit check on these leases.”

So stop by the Sears store in Pony Village Mall, where they’re open seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday from noon to 6pm.  Their phone number is 541-756-7323.

“I look forward to being a part of this community,” said Marshal.  “I don’t plan on going anywhere, and am very excited about my adventure here!”
