Music on the Bay Returns August 9
“Music on The Bay” is a Non-Profit Corporation bringing musical excellence to the Bay Area, along southern Oregon’s coast. These concerts are free to the public and held on Thursdays from 7-9pm at Mingus Park in Coos Bay. August 16: Precious Byrd - This funky band will make any
event take flight! Expect the guys to show up in shirt and tie playing
funky covers and orginals that will bring people to the dance floor.
Precious Byrd plays across the nation and features Grammy award winning
bassist Lonnie Chapin and drummer extraordinaire Michael Summers. These
guys boast one of the tightest rhythm sections around. Matched with the
soulful high energy of front man Corey Parnell and his brother Casey
Parnell on electric, the crowd gets nothing but their all!

Music on the Corner
The Coos Bay Downtown Association and The World will present the fourth annual Music on the Corner, every Friday at noon, starting July 13. This series of free one hour concerts will be held in the vacant lot at Fourth and Anderson downtown Coos Bay every Friday through Aug. 31. As always your invited to bring a chair, bring a lunch and bring a friend; but more importantly enjoy these free concerts featuring some of the area’s most talented musicians.
Inner Sanctum Studios, a member of Coos Bay Downtown Association, is a sponsor for the 2018 Music on the Corner music series event.

Rhythms On The Riverfront
The Umpqua Discovery Center will host a trio of free outdoor concerts from 6p.m. to 7:30pm on the following dates:
August 23rd, 'Stillwater' featuring Rock & Roll oldies
The concerts will be held at 409 Riverfront Way 'on the waterfront', please leave the pets, cigarettes and alcohol at home.
