Hey there, it’s Rosey with your Chamber Minute!
Team ROJO is back from the Oregon State Chamber Conference at Seven Feathers — a little stronger, a little wiser, and full of new ideas for our community. We learned about the power of connection, how to handle conflict with empathy, and that leadership isn’t about fixing everything — it’s about helping others grow.
One Chamber shared their “Lemonade Day,” where middle school students run their own small business stands. It aligned with my thoughts…what if we brought something like that to our Home Show? A chance to inspire young entrepreneurs right here at home!
In our Education committee, we have been working on identifying who needs help, what programs are already in place for us to assist with, or what our mission should be, so gathering ideas from other Chambers around the state was very beneficial, we rip off and duplicate each other in Chamber worlds for the betterment of the whole state. We realized we need help as a nation with division, and civility. Maybe we can help students with that.
At your Bay Area Chamber, we believe our differences can make us stronger — because together, we’re creating a stronger tomorrow.
October 31st Trick or Treat with the Bay Area Chamber in the Coos Bay Downtown Associations annual event 3-5pm. We will have our walk through offices open with a few busineses such as the South Coast Shopper, Black Anchor Coffee house and more…
