Coos County Prepares: A Safety and Preparedness Fair at Pony Village Mall

Local residents are invited to learn how to stay safe and ready when disaster strikes at a free Safety and Preparedness Fair on Saturday, September 27. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pony Village Mall, located at 1611 Virginia Avenue in North Bend.

Organized with the support of NW Natural, the Coos County Emergency Management Department, and the Coos County Sheriff's Office, the fair will connect families with local experts who will share practical tips on preparing for emergencies. Visitors can get hands-on information, ask questions, and pick up valuable resources to help keep their households prepared.

Kids will enjoy the chance to get up close to fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles on display, adding a fun and educational twist to the day. Attendees will also have opportunities to win raffle prizes throughout the event.

To make the day even better, NW Natural will be serving free hot dogs to the first 400 people to arrive.

Whether you’re new to preparedness or looking to update your emergency plans, this community event is a great way to get informed and stay ready for anything.
