(April 30, 2025) – As part of the 2025 Umpqua Economic Development Partnership (UEDP) Southwest Oregon Economic Summit, the South Coast Development Council (SCDC) the South Coast Development Council (SCDC) invites business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, developers, and community partners to a premier economic development event: the Coos and Curry County Economic Development Tour, set for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, based at the Newmark Center, Southwestern Oregon Community College (2110 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay).

Whether you're a small business owner, policymaker, or simply passionate about regional growth, this tour offers a front-row seat to the active and forthcoming projects of the South Coast, spotlighting entrepreneurship, blue economy and transportation and distribution related economic development efforts.

In partnership with the International Port of Coos Bay, the Pacific Coast Intermodal Port (PCIP)project, and Business Oregon, the tour is an opportunity to witness regional collaboration in action and to engage directly with transformative initiatives driving our local economy forward.
