Join us at the Coos History Museum for Sailing by the Stars, a one-hour hands-on class where you’ll discover the secrets of traditional navigation. Learn how explorers used the stars, wind, and waves to chart their course, try your hand at celestial navigation using real sextants, get hands-on with knot tying, map reading, and uncover the stories and science behind navigating the world long before modern technology.
