Service Opportunity for Teens at the North Bend Public Library

On Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 PM, the North Bend Public Library invites teens ages 13–18 to take part in a special outreach event that combines creativity, service, and community spirit.

Thanks to funding from the Coos Health and Wellness Protective Factor Grant, the library has purchased stuffed animals and books to assemble and distribute to local children. The stuffed animals will be stuffed, zipped, and paired with a book by participating teens. The completed “Bears & Books” bundles will then be shared with young children in the community, providing comfort and encouraging early literacy.

This event offers teens a meaningful opportunity to give back to their community while working alongside their peers and earning volunteer credit. All materials and snacks will be provided, and no registration is required — just drop in and help make a difference!
