Connie Dee (Lilienthal) Kittrell passed away September 25, 2025 in Eugene, Oregon.
Connie was born in North Bend, Oregon September 11, 1949. She was a 1967 graduate of Marshfield High School and graduated Southwestern Oregon Community College. She worked in the telecommunications field and quickly rose to a supervisory position. Connie had many hobbies, the greatest being cooking. She often experimented with new and novel recipes. Flowers and gardening were always at the forefront, Connie enjoyed have a yard full of flowers and took thousands of photos.
Connie always wanted to retire to Central Oregon. A vacation home in central Oregon on the Deschutes River brought peaceful time spent walking in the woods, enjoying the wildlife, flowers and the sights, sounds and smells of the high desert. Connie loved animals and found her dogs a great comfort. Connie was an avid reader, a student of history and the wonders of nature. Connie was certified to SCUBA dive and enjoyed diving at Cayman Islands. Snorkeling was a challenge that she started with trepidation wearing a floatation device only to discover “I don’t need this horse collar” while at Sting Ray City (a favorite snorkeling sand spit) in Grand Cayman. Connie cruised numerous times to the Caribbean and Alaska with family. Trips also included Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and national parks, always enjoyed with family. The most recent was a train trip to Switzerland and a cruise down the Rhine with their sons and treasured daughters-in-law
She is survived by her husband of 57 years David Kittrell, sons Jonathan Siegel-Kittrell and wife Marci and Russell Kittrell and wife Renee, brother Richard (Rick) Lilienthal, sister Lisa Peckham, five grandchildren: Alexandra, Emma, Austin, Ike and Elliana and one great grandson Henderson. Many nieces and nephews and their families were important in her life.
She was predeceased by her parents Richard (Dick) Lilienthal and Verna Lilienthal of Charleston, Oregon,
Connie was always supportive and a joy to the entire family and many others who knew and loved her. A private celebration of life will be held.
