CHM First Tuesday Talk – Tribal Storytelling with Patricia Whereat Phillips

The Coos History Museum will host the December First Tuesday Talk program Tribal Storytelling with Patricia Whereat Phillips on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 6-7 PM.

Join local storyteller, linguist, and author, Patricia Whereat Phillips for a night of traditional tribal storytelling. Born in Coos Bay, Patty is a member of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians, and learned traditional stories from her family and tribal elders. Join us as she shares these stories on a cozy winter night at the museum.

This program will be hosted in-person at the Coos History Museum, as well as on zoom, with an admission price of $7 for non-member adults, $3 for youth, $5 for zoom regardless of membership, or FREE for CHM members in person.

Doors open at 5:30 pm with time to explore the museum. Pre-registration is encouraged. Reservations can be made online at https://cooshistory.org/event-registration/, by phone at 541-756-6320 or register in person at the museum’s front desk. Walk-ins are welcome for all Tuesday Talk programs!

First Tuesday Talks are sponsored by the Ko-Kwel Casino, Martha & John Butler, and Norm Herning.
