North Bend Public Library to Host Finch Robot Petting Zoo

The North Bend Public Library invites children ages 5-12 to explore the basics of coding at a Finch Robot Petting Zoo on Monday, March 23, with sessions offered at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

This hands-on, interactive program introduces young learners to fundamental coding concepts and allows them to put those skills into action by programming Finch robots to complete a variety of fun challenges and activities. Designed to spark curiosity and build confidence with technology, the Finch Robot Petting Zoo makes learning to code engaging and accessible for beginners.

Finch robots operate using a smart device, such as an iPad, tablet, or smartphone. The library has a limited number of devices available, so participants are encouraged to bring their own device, if possible, to ensure full participation.

Caregivers must remain with their child for the duration of the program, and younger participants are encouraged to attend with an adult who can assist as needed.

Space is limited to 15 participants per session, and registration is required. Families can register online at https://tinyurl.com/3x37k6tc. A library staff member will confirm registration prior to the event.
