Thursday, March 5 from 4:00-6:00pm the Coos Bay Public Library is celebrating books and reading with a party for Read Across America. Student groups from Marshfield High School will coordinate hands-on crafts and games. The event is geared towards kids and families 18 and under; participants under the age of 18 will receive a free book as part of the festivities.

Participating Marshfield high school groups coordinating activities for the event include the Honor Society, Latin-X Club, Black Student Union, Z-Club, and the Science Club. Groups will provide a variety of hands-on activities and crafts that support reading.
